Topic:  Print Electronic Filing Instructions When Returning to Tax Return

TaxACT Online Users
  1. Log into your return.

  2. In the light blue toolbar at the top of the page, click the "Print" link.

  3. A popup window will appear. Click the link that says "Print Return and Instructions".
  4. A popup window will appear that provides links to print all Federal and State e-file instructions and e-file forms.
  5. Select the link of the instructions or e-file form you wish to print.
  6. Another popup window will appear that will let you save or print the selected document.

Note: Adobe Acrobat Reader® is required to print for our online version. Click on Adobe Acrobat Reader® to start the download process for the latest free version.

TaxACT Desktop Users:

  1. With TaxACT open, select Reports from the menu bar.

  2. From the drop down menu, select Electronic Filing Instructions
  3. Select either Federal or State
  4. Once the pop up window appears with your instructions, select the print button at the bottom


Note: If you choose the Self-Select PIN option, once your return is accepted you are finished with your return.
