• E-filing returns is simple. Just click the electronic filing button in your TaxACT Preparer's 1040 Edition, and the program guides you through the process.
• Batch e-filing saves you time. TaxACT can transmit multiple returns at once, saving you processing time.
• Your clients receive their refunds faster. Plus, e-filing is the only filing method in which the IRS provides you with confirmation that your client's tax return was safely received.
• TaxACT supports the Self-Selected PIN program. It is the latest paperless e-filing available with the IRS.
• State e-file is available for ALL states that support e-filing.
• Cumulative federal & state e-filing. Regardless of how many TaxACT Preparer's Editions you use, the number of e-filed returns is cumulative so you receive the maximum volume discounts for federal and state filing each tax year.

NOTE:  An EFIN (Electronic Filing Identification Number) is required to file electronically using TaxACT Preparer's Edition. You can apply for an EFIN using IRS Form 8633, available on the IRS web site.
